T2 Trainspotting

The original filmmakers and cast behind the acclaimed cult hit of 1996 reunite for T2 TRAINSPOTTING. Based on Irvine Welsh's original novel and its follow-up Porno, Oscar winning filmmaker Danny Boyle directs a script by John Hodge (Shallow Grave, Trainspotting) where the lives of Renton (Ewan McGregor), Spud (Ewen Bremner), Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller) and Begbie (Robert Carlyle) collide after twenty years apart. Returning to Edinburgh after spending the past two decades in Amsterdam, Mark Renton's homecoming is met with mixed emotions. Sick Boy makes a living through blackmail, Spud is attempting to stay off 'smack' and Begbie is evading police after escaping from prison; yet none of them has fully forgiven Renton for his betrayal. Embarking on an ambitious scheme to cash-in on the wave of gentrification, Mark may just make amends with the group of people who are the closest thing he has to family.
